Mustard, A cast iron sauté pan in the Monte series with multiple applications. Perfect for frying, small casseroles or sauce dishes. It also makes an ideal oven dish. Cast iron has an excellent heat capacity. This pot has a thick base so the contents do not burn easily. The lid has small spikes which allows for even and gentle distribution of the water vapour from condensation over the contents – a self-basting feature. It has a black enamel interior with larger pores and a slightly rougher surface. Over time, the pores fill with oil and a non-stick patina forms just as with raw cast iron. Suitable for all types of hobs, including induction hobs.
